At my school, fellow students such as myself are using proxies to bypass the computer's fliter to go to websites such as MySpace. However, as soon as a new proxy pop up, it will get ban. So how do you go around using a proxy without being caught.

Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You can get suspended and/or banned from using school computers. Use school computers for school work and myspace will be there when you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyway?

Web-based proxies are PHP-based applets that disguise links so that they won't be picked up by filters. The simple truth of it is, if someone's using a proxy at your school, it has a high chance of being banned. You'll have to keep searching for new ones, or, alternatively, set-up your own.

To set up your own proxy, you'll first need a domain name, and hosting with a substantial amount of bandwidth. The process itself probably isn't worth doing; I'd recommend getting a friend to host anything you may want to access, such as a flash file to a game, on their own servers.

A proxy is something that hides your IP, thus letting you get on a blocked site.

But, most schools admins' system has an online proxy scanner that scans everything on the web and blocks it automatically. So, every singe proxy you could imagine is blocked at my school.
